Britain

A small smile has graced my lips all day long today. If I close my eyes, I can still feel Silas’s hand between my legs. The orgasm he’d given me had been better than any I’ve given myself. Touching him this morning had been progress. He let me control the situation. I was surprised to feel how soft, yet hard, it was.

I focus back on the oil change I’m doing. I feel eyes on me and find Marcus staring at me. “What?”

He shrugs his shoulders. “I don’t know, you just look different. Are you still dating that douchebag?”

“He’s not a douchebag, asshole.” I look up at him. “Silas is a good guy. Mom and Dad like him.”

He stands in front of me with his hands on my shoulders. “No one is ever going to be good enough for you.” Marcus lowers his voice. “Keith says you’re staying with him all week…Why?”

“I love you, but it’s none of your business. I don’t ask you about the girls rotating in and out of your life.” I’ve never had a problem speaking my mind to my brothers. They may scare and intimidate others, but not me. Hell, Marcus and Keith are both scared of Beth, and she’s all of five-foot nothing. “What happened to CrossFit girl?”

“She wanted more, and I didn’t.” He changes the subject. “Ummm…and why the fuck did you let Silas drive your car? Because whenever I ask, you tell me no, and I’m your fucking brother.”

“You don’t have a Porsche.” I smirk and don’t miss him flipping me off—with a smile on his face, of course.

We work silently to finish the job, and he pulls the car out while I go take care of the bill with the owner of the Prius. My phone vibrates in the pocket of my coveralls. I pull it out and feel my cheeks heat up when I read it.
